Using your Travelcard
You can use your new Student Travelcard as an ID to buy spec ial student tickets as well as to pay-as-you-go for travel in the Dublin area by Topping Up your card with Travel Credit.

Option A: Use the Card as an ID to allow you buy discounted tickets
Major transport operators such as Dublin Bus, Luas, Irish Rail, Bus Éireann, Matthews Coaches, Wexford Bus and others accept the Student Travelcard as proof of your student status to allow you buy and use discounted student tickets.
Option B: Use the Card to pay-as-you-go on Dublin Bus, Luas, DART and Commuter Rail in the Dublin area
You can top up your card with Travel Credit and use it to pay any of the following single fares:
