Student Travelcard is Ireland’s largest National student ID and discount card offering Exclusive
discounts of up to 40% off on Irish Rail, Dublin Bus, DART and LUAS as
well as offering over 200 retail discounts nationwide on production of
the card in-store as well as online using your unique card number.
The card costs €12.00 for postal applications and €15.00 when purchasing the card from our campus agents.
All
full time second and third level students are entitled to apply for a
Student Travelcard. This includes trainee Chartered Accountants, trainee
Solicitors registered with the Law Society, full time FAS Students and
full time PLC students.
Also eligible are those currently
studying for at least 6 months duration with a minimum 20 hours class
time per week. Full time foreign students who meet the above criteria
are also entitled to apply for a Student Travelcard whilst in Ireland.
There is new card produced every September to validate student
status which means there are two cards in circulation from September
until December every year i.e. if you purchase a card before September
2011 your card will expire December 2011 however if you purchase your
card from the 1st September onwards your card will expire December
2012. The expiry date is printed on the card.
